BAD ATTITUDES | ADHD Information
WHAT'S A GOOD PUNISHMENT FOR THAT? I would say ignore the bad attitude, save punishment for really bad stuff.I have a teen who is unlike her 2 close friends who wait for ins. to do chores. Her 2 friends do without asking. I think you'd have to give us a bit more info about what actually happens. What do you mean when you say "bad attitude"? We react in different ways to different "offences" in our house and in most cases we try to focus not too much on the negative but instead of what positives we can draw out of it. Like today, my two boys bickered and fought a bit in the afternoon and then settled down to play nicely. In this case I turned a blind eye to the bickering and reallly praised them for playing nicely. That way (I hope) they can see they get nothing for naughtiness but praise for being good. Of course I don't always ignore it, but put it this way - I pick my fights!! Hope this helps, but I think for a more specific comment we'd need some more specific info.
