Hope that helps.

Anyone ever heard of this? There's no reason why that should be a problem. My buddy crashes particularly hard when his Adderall wears off and he's got a clonazepam (Klonopin) prescription for the purpose of counteracting the comedown effects. I'm not exactly sure of his prescribed dosage, but I know it's at least as much as you're taking and I'm fairly positive it's higher, if not significantly higher.

Benzodiazepines were introduced as a much safer alternative to barbiturates. Though I don't recommend you start taking it in excessively large doses, clonazepam and other benzodiazepines, by themselves, have a very low risk for overdose (but can be dangerous in very large doses and combined with other CNS depressants). In addition, clonazepam is generally not very addictive. But that's not to say it can't be habit-forming. It is good in that it is a long acting form of a 'benzodiazepine'. This group also includes valium, ativan, xanax, and a few others.
The problem with this group is that it can be habit forming.
That said, when taken as prescribed by an MD who is monitoring, it is not 'addictive'. If pills are taken not according to the prescription, and excessively, then it can be 'addictive'.
If you are concerned - or there is a history of addiction in the family - check with the doctor.
Otherwise, it is generally good and safe.
Thank you. I've been taking it for the last couple of days. It seems to work quite well so far. The doctor said to take it when I feel the 'need' but I've been taking it daily and even twice a day. I hope it's ok.
