WooooooHoooooo!!!!!! | ADHD Information

I am soooo excited!!  I just had my parent/teacher conference for my 7yo dd.  Let me just say, it was the best report that she has EVER gotten in school!!  Her teacher says she is so extremely proud of her.  She has been very focused & participates in every part of the school day & is not only just completing her schoolwork, but completing it well!  This school system gives out numbers (1-4 with 4 being like an A).  My daughter was given all 4's & a couple of 3's!!!!!  Her reading level has kicked in since starting medication in early November too, and she is now at advanced proficient in reading & in math!!  The teacher had nothing negative to say!  She also said that parents of children who have ADHD should be commended for doing what we do to make sure our children are successful!  SHE SAID MY DD IS SUCCESSFUL!  My dd is also so very proud of herself, she cried and when I asked her why she was crying she told me "don't worry mommy, these are happy tears cuz I never thought I could do it; but I really am a good girl!"

Isn't it just the greatest feeling in the world??

It just lets you know that the decision to medicate was the right one...the fact that your child feels successful!

I like hearing stories like this.......I hate all the negative I hear about meds. I am doing alternatives right now, don't want to go the med route, but one day I may have to and it's nice to know it may help him, not hurt him.

Her words make me want to cry.  She is realizing her potential.  Great job sweetie and great job mom for helping her to find it.

 Seeing kids feel success is such a reward for parents and teachers.  Your little one must be so proud and should be. Congrats!!!!!  Thanks for sharing a wonderful story.
