teeny tiny rash | ADHD Information

My son also had this! I hadn't thought it was the Adderall, but maybe it was. The first time he came home from school with a rash of tiny red bumps all over his neck. The teacher had sent him to the office and they'd put some cream on it, and it was starting to go away. Then another day, he suddenly started scratching his arm, and there were the same tiny bumps. It just went away about an hour later, though.

He's taking Adderall XR, but unfortunately it stopped working suddenly. It was going great, and then after Thanksgiving, it was like we were back to nothing at all. We're going back to the doctor tomorrow.

my dd was still up at 10:30 when i checked in on her and she said that her rash is gone.  she wore  silky sleep pants to bed and that did the trick...i think the rash was just from her scratching earlier in the day.  i don't think it's anything major...but just something to keep on top of...just in case:)

I have some red dots on my right leg but not my left one. I also have random little dry patches of skin (very small so they arent *too* noticable) But the red dots kind of remind me of chicken pox but slightly bigger. They arent itchy though. My dads an RN and said that believe it or not the tanning bed will help them go away (gosh darn it hes right!! I went once and they are starting to diminish!!) He would NEVER condone a trip to the tanning salon either  I also use an antibiotic cream/gel (like Neosporin texture) and that helps. But again I dont have any itching at ALL!! But I also have noticed more bruising on my legs

the rash on my dd was gone this morning...but back again tonight.  again, it is very small on both legs.  i'm wondering if it is the adderal XR or if she's rubbing her legs together at school or something while concentrating.  we haven't upped to 10 mg with the adderal...i think we will try that on saturday when she's home and we can both watch her.  i truly think that if it was a rash from the adderal it would be on more spots...she's having no other side effects from the med-except sleep issues.  i've truly seen a big difference on adderal XR...so i don't want to stop it unless i'm fully certain that it's causing the mini rash.  i googled adderal/ rashes last night and read everything that i could.  a major side effect would be if it's effecting her mouth, face, lips, etc.  her teacher said that she's sitting in her desk much better on the adderal and starting and completing her work more independently-which is exciting for us to hear.  she truly could be rubbing her legs together and causing a rash...ho hum!  the rash is only on the insides of her knees...not all the way across her backside of her knees, which makes me believe it's not the med.  hmmmmm!

my dd has a rash, just a small area on both of her legs around the back of her knees.  she started adderal a week and a half ago.  she truly could just be scratching, she has ezema as well.  however, i'm wondering if anyone has had this side effect from adderal?  i'm going to watch it for the next day or so...but if it gets any worse i'll definitely be taking her in to have it looked at.  i read the pamplet and the side effects of adderal and of course rash and itching were listed...amongst a hundred other side effects, and way at the bottom.  i don't want to take this lightly either, in case it truly is an allergic reaction to the med.

My son has psoriasis. This also starts as tint bumps that look like chicken pox.  He always has the dry red patches that can get scaley but when his nerves get higher his psoriases gets reder and some new little bumps come out.  Psoriasis is very common in people w/ADHD. He takes meds but as I'm sure you know they still have nerves that are always running high within them.

I see that you wrote this beginning of Dec. How is she now?
