Hello everyone!
My son is going to start the daytrana patch next week to see how well it works. My question is-do you give it on weekends or can they skip? My son is on Focalin and he only takes it during the week. He visits his father every other weekend so giving meds is tricky as I can't rely on my ex to give them. Does anyone whose child is on the patch skip weekends? Thanks!
I would ask the doctor, but if his behavior is tolerable w/o meds, it shouldn't be an issue. If it has been working well doing this on Focalin, it should still be ok...there doesn't need to be any build up over time and it is out of the system 2 hours after it is removed.
