it may go away...a lot of the initial side effects either diminish greatly or go away...so I suggest sticking with it and getting him a couple chaptsticks to have handy and use as needed! I started wtih "dry mouth" the first few weeks but that eventually went away.
My 8 year old son just started taking Adderall xr 10 mg and i have noticed that he is constantly licking and smacking his lips. He lips have become very chapped from this. Will this eventually go away or should I call his doctor to have the medicine stopped? Any help would be greatly appreciated OMG! I never thoght of it being a SE of the meds. poor son has looked awful lately from serious chapped lips. thanks!!my son also has adhd and is on Addreall XR10. He goes thru periods licking his lips....the doctor said this is one side effect and to keep vaseline on it....doctor says eventually it will go away
