Roller Coaster Ride with my emotions toda | ADHD Information
Last month I had scheduled myself and my daughter for testing in January. Well, they called me this morning to inform me that my insurance requires that only a PHD can do the testing and not anyone else. Well, they told me this last month.. and scheduled us. OK. come to find out the person they had us with isn't a PHD. So they're needing to re-schedule us for MAY! I'm so upset, I can't wait that long!
I didn't realize how hard it was to find someone to answer their phones or schedule an apt with. Most want me to go to their website to fill out forms to mail them, and then sometime within the next 20 years they may get back in touch with me. Do they not know that we ADHD'ers don't have any patience?!
Anyway.. I have a couple going on right now so it'll be a battle of who can get us in first and get to the testing without a million appointments beforehand. I have confirmed appointments for eval on Feb 8th and 12th. and waiting on a couple more to send me information to fill out. Anyone else go through this much trouble just to be seen? It's a good thing I'm not going through depression and having suicidal thoughts!

The first Psychologist's office called me back this afternoon and said
that she spoke with my insurance company and got them to approve her
to test us. So.. get this... even better news! I don't have to wait
until January! She's testing me this Friday! Woohoo! She said it was
like a calling or sign or something t like I wasn't meant to wait.
She's checking with the Dr. to see if she can schedule my daughter for
Saturday! That'd be wonderful. This way we don't have to pay another
deductible (ours is met for the year)

hi shawnb hope your day at the doctors with your daughter went well looking forward to hearing how you got on i read your post on the other page about your friday appointment, and i also dint understand the computer test you spoke about. maybee when you have time you could explain this more
