Stupid Teachers | ADHD Information

OMG!!!  Unreal!  It's a good thing you went to the principal right away and he/she obviously felt there was a serious problem with this teacher.  WOW!!!  That teacher is a real piece of work!

I'm so glad that you have a reasonable principal. She's right -- a teacher IS NOT a mental health professional and his opinion on such subjects has no more value that any other lay person's.

Last week a send my DD teacher a questionare that her psiquatrist gave me, and he send it back saying that my daughter was obssed with sex (she is 12 in 6th grade) and he is really worried about it.  I called him right away and ask why?????? and he told me that my DD liked boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what I go it is normal aat this age that girls start waking up on that issue. So he said that no that maybe she is a sick girl. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I went to the principal yesturday and took the paper that he had filled out and showe her what he had written about my daughter. Well he is under investigattion and mu DD has been removed from his class, he might get fired because the principal told me that he is not a sexologist or a therapist to give out an opinion.

He is in deep trouble and I should not be happy but honestly I am

Not only are that teacher's opinions not worth more than any layperson's they are so off target!  There are not too many girls (or boys) that age that are NOT interested in the opposite sex.  In fact, I would almost be inclined to think that NOT being interested would be more odd than being interested!

How many girls has this teacher raised past 12??  I have raised 2 and both of them were very interested in boys at that age.

Thank goodness the principal acted so responsibly and quickly on your daughter's behalf!

My 16 yo son had a very difficult time at 12 because ALL girls got him flustered!!

Can I play devil's advocate for a moment and ask, do you know specifically what behavior has the teacher so worked up? If it's just that she's completely focused on boys, it certainly is inappropriate for him to comment on it at her age.  Is there more?  Could she be saying inappropriate things to boys or doing things at school that might make the other kids uncomfortable? Could she be saying things to him or acting in an inappropriate way towards him? This is also the age where a girl can get confused about her relationship with a teacher and think that their relationship is more than it is.  What do you think?

In the US teachers are not allowed to evern suggest that your child has ADHD and needs meds, let alone tell you your child is sexually obsessed.

However I would also have to agree with BPQW, unless he si a perv what has daughter done in the class room to think it is not normal 12 year old girl hormones?
