With the new year approaching I am determined to get back on my exercise program. I want to actually plan my exercise program this year so I can establish a habit and not just go whenever I'm in the mood.
Then I sit down and plan aerobics and weight training with extra exercises for my lower back and pretty soon I've got a comprehensive plan that looks really good on paper.
But here I go again setting lofty goals and planning to be super woman. I just can't be satisfied starting with walking 30 minutes a day. It sounds so boring and OLD! I want to do weights and not just lose fat but build muscle too.
Start slow? Start small and set yourself up for success? Gosh I hate small goals!
Learning to reign it in....so hard to do...
I do the same thing. Have a great plan, factor in how to time work outs to the greatest advantage, balance calories in with calories burned. I can usually do it for a couple of weeks, then I can't get out of bed in the morning to do it. And I always think I have to do it in the morning- I can't even remember why anymore.
The weights are even worse, cause I can never remember what I intended to do with them.
What are small goals anyway?
