hi all

here i go again questioning my self wondering if my adhd

does this happen to anyone

i could be driving, reading, talking, watching tv. anthing and i stare straight ahead not even blinking just looking at one spot, when i do this it my mind goes completely blank i think, i dont know, its so intence, i dont know what im thinking, im just so fixated with this one spot, then suddenly i just stop as is someone has just snapped there fingers in my face to wake me up. its so danerous when im driving it scares me. i can drive 5 miles home from taking son to school and cant remember half of my journey home. WOTS GOING ON

i do the EXACT same thing! It scares the crap out of me when I do it while driving!  I thought I was just weird.

I forget, interesting you said that about seizures. my 3 year old was diagnosed with a Seizure disorder in August. I wonder sometimes if that may be caused from me. My boys never had seizures of any kind when they were small, but both of my girls have.. my 5 year old had a Febrile seizure at 4 yrs which is common, and my 3 year old then 2 has had 3 seizures between March and August of this year, 1 Febrile, 2 not.
ShawnB39067.8811921296Yes I use to do it all the time and yes I would do it when I was driving and it would scare the heck out of me. I have learned to control that, but it still sneaks up on me but I can bring myself out of them.   They say that a person that does this could be epileptic (petite mall) My son use to do this and he would be totally confused when he came out of them and he had all the tests ran and he wasn't epileptic(sp)? He was Dx as being ADD just as I have.   So you are not aloneI have something milder but similar; when I'm working the line in my restaurant, I'll find myself completely transfixed and focused on one saute pan, (especially if I'm flambeeing something) and ignoring the other dishes I need to finish.  It's been so bad a couple of times I had to leave.  Working on the computer, the same sort of thing happens, and occasionally when driving.
