Any advice about aderall | ADHD Information

I went through the same thing, my doctor started me out on concerta. Concerta showed no effect on me, doctor put me on Adderall.

I have been fine since.

Here is a bit of advice, you will never find a medication that works unless you give it time to work. Adderall is a good medication, but the side effects are not much different then that of concerta. The side effects will pass in time, then the medication will start to show some results. Did the doctor consider raising the dose of Concerta?  18 mgs is the lowest it comes in and most kids need more.

She was on the concerta for 1 month we followed the Dr orders and now the Dr said it was time to change to try a different med since there were no positive effects from the concerta.

She thought that with all the effects kelsea was having the moodiness, excessive crying emotional things that we should try a different med. There were 2 days of worrysome behavior at school she was in a zombie state apologizing to her teacher for being wild but actually could not even hardly hold her head up had to be spoken to 6 or 8 times before she even realized she was being spoken to, I was called to the school immediately.

Im praying that this new med will work as a mother Im sure most all of you have the same helpless feeling and wish we could just make it all go away!

 

Well went back to dr today and they have changed Kelsea 6 from Concerta 18mg to Aderall 10mg so we will see how med number 2 works. She was more emotional on the concerta she did stop complaining of the headaches after about 2 weeks but it did not help her with her focus at school or her hyperness and in the evenings she was twice as hyper as before. Any advice on this new med would be appreciated.
