The best Christmas present ever! | ADHD Information

That's great dmid....

So many aspects of ADHD are disheartening, and it is great to see your child progressing positively.

Yay.

I got the best Christmas present ever yesterday.  M has his 4K holiday concert at school - I have been to several of these where he struggled so bad.  He wouldn't be able to stay in line, wouldn't participate with the kids, the teacher had to be right next to him, he wouldn't sing or do the movements, etc.  It was always so hard to watch him struggle.

Yesterday ~ he sang, he did all the movements, he stayed right in line and even gently reminded a couple other kids to stay in line.  He was happy, he was entertaining, he knew all the words and all the dances.  AND...the teacher didn't even go near him throughout all the performance.

I almost cried several times during the performance, but mostly sat there with a silly grin on my face.

The principal came up to me later and gave me a big hug - I asked her if she had any idea what a happy day this was for me.  Of course she does, as her son has ADHD as well.  She said "he really is in a good place right now isn't he", and I can tell how much he has touched her heart.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

That is so wonderful.

 I am happy for you.

My girl dances and for the recital I gave her her meds and wow what a difference too she was the best well behaved child there.  The dance teacher had a hard time controling the kids and mine diagnosed and medicated was the best.
