You might start with asking the doctor that diagnosed you child for a referral. If you live in an area with a child developement center associated with a children's hospital or university, they have all sorts of these things including parenting classes for parenting challenging children.
You should look at ogram's marble system (one of the "stickied" threads at the top of this section of the forum) or a similar plan in the book 1-2-3 magic. These are positive reinforcement behavior modification plans that work with many ADHD kids. They can be implemented in the classroom with the help of the teacher as well.
My daughter started a behavior plan at school (set up by the special ed teacher and school psychologist) to help her get on task, bring home her home work and complete work in school and at home. My daughter got better behavior wise, but school work was still too hard for her to complete. She was then diagnsosed with ADHD and we started medication, which improved the school work and made her further open to the behavior plan. When summer came, we changed to a plan that encompassed home behaviors. The psychologist she was seeing at the time was thirlled that we had found this plan and were implementing it, as it is similar to what she would have had us do anyway.
