Adult ADHD - If gone untreated. | ADHD Information
I don't think ADHD will lead to anything else, other than more frustration, heard ache and pain unless it is treated. This is not a ADHD-friendly world in my opinion. Seek help -- I really wish I would have when I was 25.
Antiks39098.6537962963I dont know if untreated ADHD/ADD can lead to more serious illnesses, but it seems like with me, I have suffered from it since I was a child I think, and into adulthood, it seems like the ADHD not being treated for me led me to be more frustrated, depressed and complusive in way, and sometimes the foucsing and attention really gets out of hand....So I personelly do find that drugs help alittle, but how much I dont really know, it seems like they put me on someting and it leads to other issues, so who really knows...So in the future if I ever have to have a drug test, I just bring the perscription to the drug test place and when they find amphetamines they will exclude that from things they tell my employer about? You take them in with you and write them down. The drug test forms ask what medications you're on and if you have them with you it'll show what it's for. They're only looking for illegal substances. (or if you lied and said you're not taking anything and something shows up).

Everything Im reading on the internet is pointing to me having this condition.. I have a Lot of the symptoms that Im reading about
Be careful about what you read on the internet. There is tons of junk science spewed on the internet and ADHD can look like many other things. Depression can look like Adhd or depression can develop as a result of untreated ADHD. If your symptoms impact on the quality of your life, consider seeking a professional diagnosis and based on the diagnosis, a professional can guide you towards the right treatment for you. As worldisround stated above "if you have ADHD" consider giving med a try.
Your employer will never know if you don't tell him. Even if you have to take a drug test they will not contact your employer, unless you don't have a prescription.
Hi Someone,
I am 43 and have had ADHD my whole life. You know, the typical child can’t concentrate, problem child in school, so on, and so on. I had pretty much guessed that I had ADHD years ago but just figured I out grew it. Well after seeing a he felt I still had these issues and I was put on adderall. Well all I can say is WOW. It has changed my life tremendously.
