These women are both psychologists and each mothers of boys with Sensory issues - sensitive to touch stimulus - either too much or not enough. I got this book at our library and it REALLY explains it the best of any book I've read on this subject, from the child's and parent's points of view.
My son is a sensory seeking child with ADHD probable diagnosis. This is very significant for many children who, like the boys in this book, may never have been clearly diagnosed. I highly recommend it for parents who think that there's something different and not quite clear about their child.
