Last night my six yr. old daughter climbed up on the couch next to my husband with a stack of books before bedtime. She dropped the books in his lap and stuck her feet straight out so he could see them. Then completely without warning she says "Tomorrow Ms. Ledford's going to teach us about toe cheese."
I about died laughing right then, but my husband just said, "really? that seems like a strange thing to do at kindergarten." She replied "Well, not all the kids know about toe cheese, so Ms. Ledford's going to pick some for us, to show us how. Then we're going to check it out to see what it looks like and how it feels. I think she'll probably give us a turn to pick our toe cheese, too, so we can practice."
Sometimes I wonder about her. . .
