need a doctor that specializes in adhd

Hi everyone,

My husband has adhd and is currently on Straterra. Thsi med was prescribed to him by our PCP. We would like to find a doctor that actually specializes in adhd, I tryed going on line to see if there are any websites out there that could help me out, but I had no luck. Anyone know where I can go to find one in our area?

Hi Sophie,

I am new to the forum too and I hope this will help.  I got a book called "Adventures in Fast Foward"  By Kathleen Nadeua, in the back it gives resourses and support groups.  It says that america on line has a site for support snd information and to send an e mail to ERICNJB@AOL.COM. I have not gone to the link yet but I am gonna try it.  I am looking for a support group for adults so I also contacted CHADD (Children and adults with ADD)  They are looking aroung in my area to see the nearest adult group.  You can find them on a search engine.  I hope this helps, if I find out any more info I will let you know.

If your MD can't find you someone maby you can get a list of providers from CHADD.
