Strattera - weird side effect & tolerance | ADHD Information
You should speak to your doctor. Itchiness while on Strattera can possibly be an indicator of liver function issues.
I got the eletrical feeling too. I get in in the back of my skull, neck, and back.. almost feels like an adreanline rush. Just started Strattera this week. Doesn't bother me much. Can't speak for the itchiness, I would do what the person above said.Hello everybody.
I am a 35 yr old, 175 lb male that started taking 40 mg once per day of Strattera back on dec 7th. There were some weird hypersensitivity issues for the first week (I felt like there was an electric charge sometimes running through the back of my brain) but that went away. I have been having weird itchyness where it feels like I brushed up against a sticker weed but there is never a rash. I usually feel this itchyness start when I exert myself physically (at the gym or lifting heavy objects) and also when my emotions run very high (get stressed or angry) but it goes away after about 10 or 15 minutes.
Has anyone else had this? If so, is it something that will go away eventually?
My mind is still wandering quite a bit and I don't know if it's because the medicine isn't working or if I just haven't given it enough time. I do feel I'm getting some benefit from the medicine.
Your dose is probably too low, speak to your dr.Thanks for the responses. I did talk to my doctor and we ran some tests... there was no liver issues. It was apparently just me getting used to the medication as the intermittent itching went away.
