frustrated | ADHD Information

I know this takes a long time to diagnose but my 7 year old began by going to a pediatric as instructed by our med coverage and then filled out all the forms right away, sent those in, was mailed back more forms (not given in original pack) and faxed those back beg of December.  Then had to wait til Jan 8th for parent orientation, the had to call to see if my son could get into for Jan 11th ADHD evaluation time.  At that time, there were about 10 of us and 4 of the families were given the paperwork and 2 others hadn't finished theirs yet and here we were done.  One family was seen that afternoon.  So realistically there were 3 families left.  So that was last week and my sons teacher asks me if I have any information from the evaluation yet and I just called.  I was just told it could be another 4-6 weeks.  I am extremely frustrated as we began everything in November and followed every step as instructed (while others were scheduled w/o paperwork done, etc) and now another 4-6 weeks could put us at finally seeing a psychologist in beg of March.  School year ends in May and 4 of the 7 months we are really really struggling with his inattentiveness, focus issues, etc.  sorry just upset right now and need to vent. I know it does take time but would like to hear one way or another. KWIM?
