I take Wellbutrin and the regular Adderall. Unless I am mistaken though everyone reacts different to different meds. I had to quit Effexor because if I missed a dose or 2 my teeth felt like jello and I got dizzy, plus I was out of my depression. Back then my job included climbing telephone poles... Not a good place to get dizzy.
Have you told your doctor about the headaches and tension? Headaches are a side effect that I would take seriously.
Have you tried the non XR Adderall? I tried XR but it didn't work for me. So I went back to 2 pills a day of non XR.
If I'm not mistaken Wellbutrin is more effective against anxiety than depression. In fact anxiety is why I take it.
I am a newbie on this board and have been trying to find a good group of people who are experiencing the same problems. I am a 38 year old female.
I was diagnosed with depression 6 months ago and have tried several antidepressants. They made me feel worse and totally out of it. I was just diagnosed 10 days ago with ADHD (I am NOT hyper). I lack concentration, extremely forgetful and can't remember anything, get very distracted and it has caused extreme anxiety with work.
I started on 20mg of Adderall XR 10 days ago and have also been taking Effexor 75 mg for the last 2 months. The Adderall has helped greatly with energy, being motivated and helps me focus. However, the complete downside is the severe anxiety and the tension and exploding headaches it's given me. Is this normal? My neck and back is so tense I feel I am going to snap.
Has anyone out there experienced this? I want so much to have my life back and feel "normal" again but don't know what to do. Is anyone taking Wellbutrin with Adderall XR and is it working for you? I don't want to quit the Adderall but can't function this way with all the anxiety.
Please help!
