In an effort to improve my marital situtaion I agreed to go see a phsyciatrist about possible depression. I was recommended a certian doctor by a close friend who is ADHD. When I arrived he had me take a test on the computer where you basically click on every letter except when the letter X comes up. I think he wants to make sure my meds are at the appropriate level first, since ADHD itself can cause depression. I personally don't think its clinical depression, but more situationaly induced, but I'm open to being wrong.
The first time I tested at 10mg Adderall. I tested again few days later on no meds, then took 15mg and tested a third time later that day.
I scored higher on 10 mg than on no meds and 15mg. I am going to test again friday at 20mg.
My question is what mg are most of you on that take Adderall? I have been at 10mg for a long time. I realize that is a very low dose, and everyone is different, but I am wondering what the average dose would be.
P.S. The doctor himself is VERY ADHD, probably the most I have seen in a person. So sometimes its hard to see where he is going with a train of thought.
