Welcome Cheer!
My son tried adderall back when we were testing several meds. At first concerta made him not eat nor sleep, so we moved on to Adderall xr. He became aggressive, irritable, moody, his eyes were dialated, he looked high, and eventually went psychotic in the pediatrician's office. He was instantly removed from that med! It did NOT like my son!
We then went back to concerta, started with a psychopharmacologist, a specialist in medications, and it took 6 months to find the right dosage of concerta for my son. The psychopharm added guanfacine eventually and magic, he started doing great.
My son is 9 and has been at the current dosage for over 2 years. Report card was all A's & B's, plays sports, and is happy! His teacher loves him and we are all happy.
We still have problems but we are definetly managing!!
Regards,
Beth
Hey there, I'm new to the boards. I just started noticing my fdaughter's pupils are enlarged, and she is on Adderall Xr.Do you think that could be the cause of her huge sized pupils?yes, my dd had that on adderal XR. she had side effects as well, so she's now on ritalin short acting and her pupils are normal. i have a friend whose kid is also on adderal and has the dilated pupils.

Welcome to the board cheer,
Amphetamines can dialate the pupils. Others have noticed this effect when taking adderall. You should discuss any concerns (even whey they seem small) with the doctor.
