Reaction to new medicine. | ADHD Information

My boyfriend just started taking Adderall. All of the sudden he isn't himself. He doesn't eat and he always seems like he just heard that his grandmother died. Hes only been taking the medicine for about a week. Is there any chance that this will just go away with time? I want to be the supportive girlfriend and all but on the other hand, this isn't the guy that I fell in love with.
