scholarships for ADHD?

Attn parents: if you live in Florida, USA you might be able to use this (if you consider it will work for you) or find out if there is something similar in your area or country.

Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program is established to provide the option to attend a public school other than the one to which assigned, or to provide a scholarship to a private school of choice, for students with disabilities for whom an individual education plan (IEP) has been written in accordance with rules of the State Board of Education. Parents may choose a school other than the child’s current assigned public school.

This choice is good because you can find an school that has less students ( per classrooms),a "good reputation", a better and more trained staff or even a more "atractive" curriculum for your child.

Remember (before I get atack) in USA ADHD is considered a "disability" and children are covered under the disability act. Is this good (to be considered a disability)? I don't know....but if it help to make your child  life in school better, go for it...

GOOD LUCK to all of you!!!

Coincidentally, I was searching this morning for information relative to financial support.  I am in Florida and did find something relative.  Thanks!

I am also from Florida & there is also a John McKay Scholarship that you can apply for either a full/half/partial scholarship to a private school.  Your child needs an IEP to apply for this scholarship.
