medadate and tics | ADHD Information

my 9 yr old son has been on medadate cd for 4 years now.  His dosage has steadily been increasing and is now on 30mg. for about 5 months.  I've noticed that i n the last couple of weeks he has been doing strange things (movements) with his fingers and arms.  He says he can't help it so i am assuming this is now a tic.  If i take him off the meds with the tics go away????Talk to the doctor about options. It may require a different med, reducing the stimulant or adding something like tenex (guanfacine) to help with tics and some of the adhd symptoms. There are some good threads on tics on this forum and the parents forum with information on tics and tenex.
