College Student, Adderall not too focused | ADHD Information

Share
Hey,

I'm back posting my results on what I have gone through for the past few weeks with the new ADHD meds I have been using...

Now what I have in the first place I believe is a mild case of ADD and Anxiety along with some acid reflux to ice the cake (mmm I love chocolate).

Ever since my mom started me on concerta, things would be up and down.  I was more focused and could concentrate better, but I would get these head aches and my head would tingle once and awhile as well (which made my eyes feel like they've been looking at a computer screen forever...or wait...maybe I was...).  I got use to the headaches and things went well for awhile, but then the effect started to lessen as my body got use to it and I was told to up the dose to 20mg.  From there I took 20mg a day and had the worst dizzy spells of my life along with horrible acid reflux (which I was in the emergency room for!).  Now I have switched to the 10mg adderall and things as you can guess are certainly different!  It's not perfect, but it seems to work as an anti-depressant for me (having a totally different effect than the concerta).  The problem with this is I am not focused as much with it (I tried taking two 10mg pills one day and it still didn't make much of a difference in terms of making my focus and memory recall better).  Has anyone had any similar effect with Adderall, if so what have you used to help stimulate a stronger focus with it?  I really like the feeling I get while taking it, but it doesn't have the focus effect that concerta had.  Any suggestions at all?  Thanks for all your help so far, my life has been changing on a very positive note because of this.

PS Bretman, if you see this please send me another message, I lost your private messages and email, Im sorry man!
My Adderall doesn't seem to be working as much right now so I think I may go back to concerta even though I had headaches and dizzyness, it seemed to work well for awhile.  I hate it though because it's all so confusing still for me trying to figure out what new med I should move to next, any advice from people who have experienced this or have gone through something similar?  Thanks!
