there was an article about a book specifically about mothers and the demands that are thrown upon them with a child with adhd/special needs. how we become co-dependent a bit...becoming the *executive of the household and possibly take on too much and how to take care of ourselves betters, etc.
anyways...i was going to look for this book at barnes and nobles today and i can't find my copy of magazine to look up the title. it looked like something that would be good for me to read. i'm the type A mom...high expectations, clean house, etc. i like order and i know that i probably do too many things for my adhd daugther, and she is 9. sometimes it's just easier in time crunches to do things for her and that's not the answer:) things have improved since meds...but mornings when med isn't in her i do too much for her. we're working on this though...we have easy child in place!
does anyone have this magazine /or idea of the title of this book?

Ditto that! Am very Type A and that book sounds like exactly what I need. By the way, do you find the mags from CHADD helpful??
