Hello! | ADHD Information

Sorry I just kind of jumped in over here. I'm Shawn. My 5 year old daughter Rhiannah was recently diagnosed with ADD Inattentive type and started on 10mg Strattera this past Saturday. So far so good.. no ill side effects yet, just playing the waiting game to see how it kicks in within a couple weeks or so.

She can not be put on  any stimulant meds because she had a seizure on the 3rd of this month (2nd one in a year). We're waiting on the EEG results and find out if we need a referral to a Neurologist for her too. Since I'm sure most of you already know that stims can raise the risk of seizures.

In all honesty I think I would prefer stimulant meds so she can have a med break on the weekends or anytime she's not in school. Plus, I've also been recently diagnosed with ADD and waiting on my appointment on the 21st to see about meds.
