drug donation? | ADHD Information

In recently being diagnosed, I've tried a few meds and am still figuring out what works and what doesn't.

The result is a few almost-full Rxs that are just going to go to waste.  I've asked around and none of my friends/family are in need and I'm wondering if there are any organizations that will accept donations of Tier 2 or 3 drugs??  My friend donated a bunch of her grandmother's meds after she passed, but it seemed to be of more benign drugs (stuff for asthma, arthritis, etc).

I hate to flush them after paying for them when they may help someone else, but I also presume that no one will accept them.  Am I wrong?

I have often thought that there should be some clearing house for the wasted ADHD meds as well.

It is a shame that we are such an untrusting litigious society...there are so many cases of drug tampering, and such that no one would probably trust that the drugs are pure and as they came from the manufacturer.....

Try the doctor's office, but I am reasonably sure that they will tell you to destroy them.....

I have some concerta that is sitting in my cupboard....but my adult daughter is beginning a trial of that and I am waiting to see if she needs that dosage strength before I pitch them.....
