I think you just need to avoid citric acid (orange juice, etc) within the first hour or so of taking the med....so I just don't give it to him till snack time or dinnertime to be safe...something to do with the rate of absorption with all of the stims....
Other than that I am unaware of any diet restrictions at all, though there may be some unique to adderall xr....anyone know?
i know you need to avoid fruits... do you just avoid citic acid or is it all types of acid, do you have to avoid folic acid too.. is citric acid the only thing that lowers adderall.. somebody please explain what you can and cant eat on adderall xr.....it is just cirtuc acid, and only within an hour or so of taking it. You can eat anything , anytime you want with that one exception.Eating citric acid with Adderall isnt harmful at all, it just doesnt allow the Adderall to work to the full effect. Eating a high fat diet will do just about the same thing.
