We had such a bad year last year, I am constantly amazed that this year is so good. Last year it was pre-diagnosis and treatment with rages, wanting to die, running away and absolute failure at school, home and with friends. That is a hard thing to deal with at the age of 9 (or any other age).
This year with appropriate treatment (meds, an effective behavior plan, the proper help at school), we have a happy, successful child that is making friends and is alot of fun. We still have slight OCD and ODD issues but they are managable. My bright child is getting As and Bs in school and is making progress.
You will get there as well. It will get better.

Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. I can tell you I have learned more from this website that anything else. I also have received more support here that most anywhere else also. You made a smart choice coming here. I just want to wish you luck and remember, it is your child you are fighting for and he/she is worth it NO MATTER WHAT so keep on going. When ya'll finally get everything settle (and it is a long road) it will be worth it. jodie

My 6 yo son was recently diagnosed with ADD and put on Adderall XR 10mg. I am so overwhelmed and confused. I am reading everything I can find, but still confused.
