Lovemyboy..... dont worry about the dosage. Make sure your son takes exactly what his doctor says, your son will know the first time he takes the 2 20mg pills if that dosage is ok or not.
My ds is 11. I hope he does know. I told him to let me know if his stomach feels sore. I will know too if he brings all of his lunch home. I will be watching him closely here at home.ok, one thing... i understand that you are a worried mom.. just don't be overly protective. Thats what his doctor is for. Remember, appetite supression is one of the most common side effects of a stim, and since his dose has increased he may not eat as much .. at first.... Basically don't center everything around the new dosageI understand that stims can affect the appetite. When ds was on dexedrinesr, he wouldn't eat any lunch or supper. He would lie on the couch and hold his stomach. He lost weight rapidly. So his doctor took him off it. Therefore I am going to be watching fro those side effects.
