Hi,
I have a 9 year old daughter with ADHD. She has responded very well to Concerta but every year we go up in dosage. Just when I think I see light at the end of the tunnel ......we need to up the dose. I just feel that ADHD is sometimes viewed as the bratt syndrome!!!!!! Not enough publicity about this disorder. All the information is on what not to give your kids.....heart issues.....blah....blah.....blah. Drug dependence.......blah.....blah....blah. I am a special ed. teacher and it seems that every few years there is the in disability....downs syndrome, autism. I am not saying that ADHD is as serious as downs syndrome or autism, just that it can have a frustrating impact your child's life as well as the family. I guess I am just venting. But I want the best for my daughter and sometimes I feel that ADHD doesn't get enough proactive medical and public attention.
Thanks for listening!!!
