adderall and season | ADHD Information

Ive always needed more sleep and have had less energy in the wintertime. I started taking adderall a little over a year ago and experienced great success, then the fall and the winter hit and all the add symptoms cam eback again. Has anyone else experienced this?If your body/mind is not functioning optimally the meds also may not be enough during these times. Someone understress has worse ADHD symptoms and their med do not work as well. Your winter issues may cause you additional stress and be pushing you past the ability for the meds to help. Discuss this with your doc, he/she may have some insight on this that could help.When you say the ADD symptoms come back, what symptoms exaclty are you referring to?  I would definately talk to your Dr. about this because it may be something that an anti-anxiety/depression medication could help with.  My son takes a very small dose of Lexapro with his adderall for this reason.  Hope this helps.body and mind unfortuantely. Its more of a problem of just getting focused again and following through. A recent trip down to the tropics helped me get organized alot and back on track ; and oddly enough the medicine worked down there and things seem to be getting manageable again. I hesitate to take any more meds with it though. The best success Ive had unfortunately is through this board and research with minimal input from the doc. Im grateful for the feedback
