any advice?? anyone struggle with similar weight loss, not feeling well, fever??
Honestly, my daughter, who is not ADHD had a viral like this recently. She is on no medications. She had a fever for two days and had no other symptoms except groggy and lethargic from high fever. I thought it went away and seemed fine the next day, but around 4pm she developed a fever. This happened for the next two days. I was told it was a viral. It went away and she has been fever free for two weeks. I am not aware of a fever being a side effect of Adderall (my son is on Adderall.) I am sure it could be though! Hope this helps. I have an acquaintance that I ran into just recently that said his 13 year old son is doing this....having a fever that comes and goes...and he has been for a few days as well....I think it may be unrelated and a virus...I don't know this father well enough to know if the child is on Adderall, though I don't think so...Funny coincidence...not long after I posted this my sister called. Her 6 year old son who is not on any meds just spiked a fever of 104. She said she wouldn't have known he had a fever except he sat on her lap and felt his forehead. He is acting absolutely fine and has no symptoms of anything. However, I did do a google search and found that fever is a rare side effect. I would tend to think it is something else, however, because it has been noted as a rare side effect, you may want to have it looked into further. My 7 year old has been on adderal XR for almost 4 weeks now and spiked a 105 temp last week with no other symptoms. Then I took him off the adderal as he wouldn'teat on it and being sick for 2 days so then put him back on Tuesday for school when his fever was gone. He came home last night with a mild fever again but again no other symptoms. He isn't eating or drinking and laying around at night. He is losing weight as his tight pants are now falling off. Do you think I should take him in today before the weekend to see the dr, decrease his 5 mg to maybe 1/2 a pill 2.5 mg each day over the weekend or wait til the drs appt on Tuesday. Just want to know what you would do. I feel bad he is so miserable right now. weird to have a cold or flu with no other symptoms for a week
