WTG for him!!!        I don't think any teacher should ever give up on a child and by saying what she did (about him in Math) that's just completely wrong! Isn't that why you teach? To give students hope and teach them how they can succeed!Is what my 8yo son was awarded yesterday!! He also got 10/10 for his maths test last week - this is so cool since he really was doing badly at maths last year.  His teacher from last year said he would never amount to anything in maths (grrr). I'm really proud of him.

Maybe you should send that teacher a photocopy!!!

Hooray for him! And some teachers shouldn't teaching at all......

This year's teacher is good, she really seems to have helped him. It struck me I've got another ten years of teachers with him ... and another 12 years of teachers with my littlie. Wish this year's teacher could just teach my two for the next decade.

I've asked the school to make sure that he gets put with similar teachers every year.  And the "wellmeaning" experts can get on my nerves too.
