my 9 year old dd with adhd came home gleaming today, she had opened her report card on the bus. all 3's and 4's...95% (A) in language arts-spelling, reading, etc
86% in math (B), she didn't do well on the one minute timed math facts which was 10% of her grade. however, this was an improvement from before meds, yahooo! and we'll take a B in math:) :) :)
92% (A) in social science-weekly readers, tests, projects.
anyways... i just thought i'd share...i can't wait for conferences on wednesday night. i don't know how we'd be doing in all honesty, if i hadn't read this board. i'm not sure i would have been comfortable starting a stimulant in november if i hadn't felt so knowledgeable, and that came from all the reading i did here.
it's night and day at our house now that our dd is on ritalin LA. and it's a good thing for her and for all of us that have to live with her:) :) :) :) she's soooo proud tonight...life is good:)

Chase's grade cards come home on Friday....the grading period ended last Friday...I am hoping for the same great news then!
I know the feeling... its amazing!!!!! My daugher just received her report card.. her grades went up in everything... she has other learning disablities.. but WOW. she went from reading 10 words a minute with 30% correct to 39 words a minute with 80% correct. And this was a first grade reader to a second grade reader in 1 trimester... I cried when I read this!!!! I am so proud.
Congrats to your daughter on her hard work!!!
