Has anyone tried FOCUS

bcrook - as mentioned in previous messages - my son does get benefit from Fish Oil - no were like Ritilin but @ 14 and now semi controlling his ADHD ( through behavioural modification and 71/2 of Medication ) He tells me he does feel a difference with fish oil - he hates taking it but he does because  it does help,

Miffiakiddo - On occasion and when I am desperate ( behaviour has crashed and I have no meds on me ) I have given my son a V - drink / Red bull or other caffine loaded drink ( the label says not recommended for children because of the caffine dose) This is a saviour it dosn't  have a very long term effect (maybe 1/2 hours)  but many a time it has helped enough to  avert a catastropy !!!!!!.  He will ask for one now if he feels on edge and knows  the risk of explosion is pending.  ( I do find a little rebound with this but usually we are well clear of the environment that is causing his tension.

Cheers

This is a bit off topic. I haven't tried Focus or becalm but one suggestion I can give is to see how your child behaves while on caffiene. A lot of ADHD people find caffiene calms them and/or helps them focus (some it only helps with focus). It might also be a good indicator in the future if you decide to give meds a try. If caffiene gives you a beneficial response then there is a very good chance that stimulants will work to curb his symptoms in the future.

My 7 Yr old has just been diagnosed with ADHD . My husband and I are trying to find  a natural supplement that might help him.The Doctor recommended beCalmed but my son is allergic to sulfa . Which in turn makes him unable to take phenylalanine .Which is the main ingredient in beCalmed. Has anyone heard anything about a natural drug called FOCUS ?

Yes, we tried focus for the summer months before my son was even ever diagnosed (we had hoped to avoid a diagnoses by using it); however, we saw no difference at all.  We returned all bottles within the time frame and got our money back.  Hope this helps.
