I just wanted to say, even if they don't talk to or listen, keep them grounded for the time you told them. I think definately you probably shouldn't taken that weekend with your husband, I know you need it but, I remember when I was inCOLLEGE my parents left me alone for the weekend, I had a RAGING party which turned out to be the worst nightmare of my life. There were 200 people at the least, my neighbors of course ratted on me and my jewerly was stolen and my dads wedding band. I will never forgive myself for being so stupid. I hurt my parents so much and never did anything like that again. To this day I can never forgive myself for that. I was never in to drugs but we did have kegs of beer flowing and I'm sure there were drugs there. They have shown that they can't be left alone, so until they are gone out of the house let it be known, they will be monitored. I think the pot is not a good thing, snd you need to get help pronto. Have him drug tested and taken to the doctor on a continous basis. This is pretty serious so I would contact the doctor and see what suggestions he has. Treat it very seriously, because if you don't do it now, it will spirial out of control. My kids are still young and can't be left alone, but I know how i was and I know what can happen, sorry about that, I hope you stay strong and investigate a little more.

Do your kids have a diagnosis and if so what treatment forms (meds, alternatives, behavior modification, etc) are the using?
My husband and i went away for the weekend and i left my 15 year old ADHD daughter with my 18 year old son. I have found out from the neighbors that my kids threw a party while we were gone. I came home and questioned them and they denied it. But i finally got them to admit it. I have found out that both my children smoke and drink. My 15 yr old smokes cigarettes and my 18 yr old smokes weed. I grounded them for 3 weeks. I am at my wits end i don't know what to do. My kids don't listen to me ever since i grounded them. My 15 yr old is defiant and my 18 yr old curses at me. No matter how many times i tell them "don't talk to me like that" they don't listen. I also got a call from there school today and my 15 yr old is failing math and Spanish. I don't know what to do anymore. Please help
