Concerta Side Effects | ADHD Information

I noticed a few others posts about the side effects of Concerta.  I have had them too like the rapid heartbeat.  I've been noticing the timing on this and I don't have the rapid heartrate while the medication is working.  It seems to happen about 5 - 8 hours after the medication wears off and I've also noticed I am extremely hyper at that time too.  While the Concerta is working, I'm calm, sometimes sleepy, but I can focus on my work and stuff.  I'll talk to my dr. about it next time.

Right now I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing the timing like that...

I would call your Dr to let him/her know about the rapid heartbeat.  Both my kids take concerta 54mg -  I soften the rebound with 1 quick release ritalin.  Try to make this about 5pm so it lasts up until bedtime.  My son has trouble sleeping if I leave it too late or I give it too early.  Not aware of the increase in heart rate.
