Help: Switched to Ampethamine Salts | ADHD Information

I am glad I am not the only one.  I spoke with my pharmacist this evening and learned that the generic adderall is NOT the same as the brand.  There is as much as a 20% +or-, rate of effectiveness due to the lack of or poor quality of the active ingriedients.  I accidently bit one of mine and all i got was a salt taste, not even a burn.  I was informed that the brand tolerance is mandated at five but most of the time is less thatn 1%.  I was also in formed that most other generic drugs have a much higher ratio.   I hope this helps.  Im going DAW from now on, as reccomended by my pharmacist.I recently switched from Adderrall XR, to generic.  I was prescribed a 30 and a 10 mg of the XR one to be taken when I wake up and one before noon, on the theory I would wake up before 10.  Since I took mostly night classes this semester I wake up much later, and got used to taking both at the same time.

Now, when I tried to take my generics at the same time, I got incredibly sick 6 hours  after taking them, all with the symptom I had when I first started taking medication.  What should I do?  How do I replicate the same effect from the last medication to this one?

Sometimes I end up with a generic instead of the real Adderall (IR or XR) and though I've never had the response you've had, I must say that the generics don't act the same in me--I prefer the real McCoy! Unfortunately the real McCoy costs more than generic, which can add up...
