I wish you luck with the way you are doing things. I just know that my son would still be in trouble for his hyper, impulsive ways if it wasn't for his meds.
I regret not medicating sooner for his poor sake. He suffered because of my fear, which was wrong for him to be the one to suffer.
I have no knowledge of going the natural route. I have had much success with medication.
Best of luck for your son!

I would also look into other things, like Tourettes syndrome. Tourettes often mimics adhd symptoms, and can be a co morbid.hi, i'm kimmie mommy of 3 great kids. Bobby is 6 always been very hyper, can't sit still and constantly getting in trouble at school. He hasen't been formaly tested for ADHD it takes over a year to get apt to see the dr. crazy . He is in Kindergarten right now. Its been a LONG year believe me. I dont think it would be as bad if the teacher stoped picking on him. every year she picks one kid out to pick on. thats my son. oh well almost done w/her.
He never sits still. Always doing something to make noise, he doesn't even know he is doing it. I had a long conversation w/my baby's nuerologist about it. She said they are ticks associated w/ADHD. Which i always suspected anyways. the only thing i dont see him having an issue with his learning. He has learned so much this year in school. He picks up reading and math quicker then most of the other kids at school. I do think he is a bit bored with the whole school thing, but nothing i can do about that.
I really want to stay away from meds. I have done lots of research in past few months about everything and for now we decided to try dieting. I hope it can work for him. But oh my its hard to get a 6 yr old to eat totally differant then before. Anyone have any advice on making diet trasition easier. i'm cutting out atifcial colors and additives for now. After having my panic attack i need to sit down and find some sort of food w/out it that he will eat. so any info would be great appricated.
