Raising Humane Beings - Jane Fendelman

Has anyone read this book? I came across her website and agree with her approach in treating adhd (naturally - no drugs) so I emailed her. she said, ...."If you want instant results, come see me or, if you're out of town, get my book. You will see you son's symptoms go away immediately."

That's a pretty bold statement. If anyone has read this please post.

You are right about it being a pretty bold statement. She claims ADHD is not a real disorder and to "cure" the symptoms in a few sessions. If it sounds to good to be true... You're right and it's probably stuff most of us here know since we're already educating ourselves and being good parents :)

I checked at Amazon.com and it does have good reviews. I may purchase it anyway to see what she has to say.
ChristineM39209.4435069444After you get it, please post a summary of the book.That is a very bold statement. I have just purchased a book by David B stein Ph.D. He claims to Unravel the ADHD Fiasco. I have not read the book a yet but a friend recommended it. His take seems to be that as parents if we would just take control our kids would have no problem. He promotes long boring time outs and a hard line on behavior. He also tempers this with praise. I am not sure whether to be P'O'd or grateful. I will read the book and let you all know. Please do the same with whatever book you look at next. I wonder... it do not feel my son is inhumane or even unkind. Except his younger brother of course!!!
