i am going to try the marbles | ADHD Information

I think it would be a good idea to only give positive rewards for the first week, but possibly give him a verbal reminder that "starting next week, that will be costing you a marble...." It is also a good idea to pick one or two behaviors at a time to work on. Once those are mastered and become habit, then you can phase them out for new ones to work on.

Well I have read the whole 30 page thread about the marbles. I think it might just work. My son is all about being rewarded. even eating dinner he says" mommy if I eat all this can I have yogurt. I try to tell him its nota ll bout getting a present. But maybe right now the marbles is just what he needs. He will earn money as well. He loves to buy things.

I hope this works. I am going to make a big deal about it on the way home and we will go buy the marbles together. I have not decided yet whether to start for a week just + things and not take them away. But then again if he doesnt earn them right away taking them away will stink to him. He might just give up. So Ill see. Maybe try it will dinner.

I will be staying at home for 3 months I am pregnant with my 2nd child. So that will give me a lot of time to work with him.
