I am lost! What can I do to help my son? I've been trying the green tea  before school. Helps a bit. will his body get used to the tea or will it always work? I'm not ready to give him meds but want to help. He is having a hard time stay8ing focused at school. We really need help there.  Please share any ideas! You could try Omega-3 fish oil and magnesium.

I use caffeine (coffee and tea) and tried tea with each of my kids before starting meds. The effects of caffeine are only for 3-4 hours and as the body gets used to it, more and more is required to see any effect. As caffeine is increased, the peripheral effects (blood pressure, heart rate, jitters, headache on withdrawal) can be an issue.

As NoTellin has suggested, look on the alternatives board. The Omega-3 fish oil and magnesium currently have the most research data indicating they may work.
