What testing have you had?? | ADHD Information

My child began to have problems in Grade 3.  We took him to our family doctor, which sent him to a renowned pediatrician.  This pediatrician did the Connors test on him.  The test indicated he has ADHD and gave us three suggestions.  First, he was removed from French Immersion class.  Secondly, we had a tutor to improve his his math marks (note: he was showing the bordom).  Thirdly, recommend to use medication.

That was two years ago and we tried every alternative and we finally proceeded to place him on medication.  But before he went on medication, I went first for use see I too have ADHD.  I tell you , it has done wonders for me. 

I can see a difference in him now that is slowly getting there and I am proud.

I'm new here. I'm a 27 year old mom of 2. I've had ADHD symptoms my whole life but recently my six year old was diagnosed with ADHD so I decided to seek help for myself. I went to a psychologist who thinks from talking with me and having me fill out one of those ADHD symptom questionaires that I have ADHD. The last step is he wants me to do a test called TOVA or Test of Variables of Attention. ANyways I'm having this done tomorrow. Is this test really reliable?? I posted on the women with ADHD board and it seems noone's had it.

 

What testing have you had?? Am I on the right track??
