Ritalin to Ritalin LA ( Adult) | ADHD Information

My daughter 12, took Ritalin LA for 6 months, worked great on her ADHD, but DID increase her anxiety. We recently stopped it. She could not tolerate regular ritalin either though. Do you treat your anxiety with anything?My son, aged 10, takes ritalin LA and he has fewer issues on it than he did on Concerta (both ritalin based).

I guess all you can do is give it a try. At least you will be feeling all of these things yourself, and can tell the dr directly if you feel more anxious. Oftenttimes with children, anxiety presents as anger or aggression. They have more difficulty seperating the feelings.I know there have been many posts about Ritalin LA, but they all seem to be geared toward children. I am a 115 lb. female and I have been on Ritalin 10 mg in morning for about a week.... my doctor has said that once my body adjusts to that we can try the LA formula. The only thing we are both concerned about is that I also have an anxiety disorder that can sometimes result in panic attacks. I don notice the regualr ritalin affecting my panic issues, but my doctor said that LA might trigger it because it is in the system longer..... any thoughts?
