HAIR LOSS DISTRESS | ADHD Information

Have a heart, guys.  Help me out.  Someone please give me a reply!I have not heard anyone having hair loss with stimulants.I wonder if the Wellbutrin has anything to do with it?  My hair grew noticeably thinner when I was taking it...hmmm.

Do a Google search on "Wellbutrin Hair loss".  I just did one now and found plenty.  Apparently it IS a known side effect, but is pretty rare.  Still, it would explain a lot.

  I have hair loss occasionally, but my hair is thick so I've never worried.  I am on Adderall but I lose hair with increased stress.  I'm just saying, that if my hair would be losing to the degree that I worried that much about it, I would be JUST as upset as you!  I totally get it.

Hello everyone!

I really need help with this one.  I am a 36 year old male who has been taking Ritalin La (40mg) once a day for about 10 months or so.  In between this, I've been taking Welbutrin semi-regularly but more times, not.  Now, I am having problems with hair loss and frankly, it's scewing with my self-esteem.  It seems to do more damage than my adhd alone! 

While trying to sleep last night, I thought to myself that maybe I should do Adderrall, it's effects I preferred to Ritalin's.  But I take Ritalins because I'm on a program that pays for it.  You might think me vain, but hair loss, to me is devastating.  I would like to know the varied ways in which you may have handled this.  I am currently looking for work and finances are an issue. 

If you really think about it, hair loss, though it seems cosmetic and superficial, really isn't if it poses a threat to one's mental health.  Don't you agree?  And don't other stimulants cause less of this problem?  Any and all feedback appreciatied.
