There are many medications he can take. You should speak to his doctor about your concerns. Has he taken anything else? Adderall can increase anxiety.My dd had the same issues on Adderall (Adderall XR), in the end we had to go off of it because she became extremely negative, withdrawn and cranky all the time. It also increased her anxiety which she already has issues with. How long has he been on it? We were on it for 4 months. I'd give it a month or so if he just started it and if he is still like that then request another med. There are so many different things they can take now, and it really is about trying different kinds to find the one that is right for your guy. Hugs, and good luck!

My son is on Adderrall and although it is helping him with his hyperness, he is having trouble going to sleep and is irritable at small things.

Any suggestions?  Also, has some anxiety.  Not sure if there is something else he can take.
