Hmm. . . That explains a lot.

Not taking adhd meds would definetely cause increased anxiety in some people.  Throw in a little claustropobia and a tiny jail cell- it would be amazing if she wasn't having panic attacks.

It really is inexcusable for her not to have been receiving her meds though.

As far as Paris Hilton, if she's truly A.D.D., I feel sorry for her.  The media is so dishonest in their ways of finding resources though, so we will probably never know.  But, she can afford to have her needs met, so I won't be worrying about her!  Thanks for replying.  I appreciate it.

It's odd that I came upon this post.  I joined this site tonight because I had the worst day in my life.  I'm an adult add woman who is married to a man who has NO clue how to deal with me.  After becoming emotional with him tonight, I had a really bad panic attack.  I didn't take my meds for two days.  I'm on Adderrall XR too.  Now I have something to think about.  I have had panic attacks as young as 10.  I just didn't know what it was. 
Katastrophee's response is understandable.  I am not throwing out what was said, but I just had to comment with my thoughts.

Found this online this afternoon:

"Paris Hilton was released last week from jail last week for an unreleased medical condition.  Now we know why the hotel heiress was sent home.  Paris evidently suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and claustrophobia; and that is why she was reassigned to house arrest before being sent back to the slammer.

TMZ.com is reporting these medical conditions as the reason why Sheriff Lee Baca released her to house arrest against the judge's orders.

We're told Hilton is taking Adderall for her ADD. Although our sources were not specific, we're told Hilton was not receiving all of her medications at Lynwood. As a result, Hilton was having severe panic attacks in jail. There were times she was so debilitated, she could not push the panic button in her cell.

Today, Paris seems to be doing much better.  The website is reporting that Hilton is still depressed, but as we reported earlier... she told Barbara Walters this weekend that she is learning from her mistakes."

Is it just me?  I don't necessarily see why NOT taking your ADD meds would cause you to freak out.  I can believe going to jail when you have been a spoiled, pampered brat your whole life would freak you out....the ADD medication issue seems like a lame excuse to me.  Maybe claustrophobia would cause panic attacks if that is true.  But NOT taking Adderall shouldn't CAUSE panic attacks.

It certainly explains some things about her, anyway.
